Chief Operating Officer
Naomi is a proud Aboriginal (Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay) and Torres Strait Islander (Erub/Darnely Island) woman, born and raised in Darwin on Larrakia Country.
Naomi joined Intract in 2018 as the Business and Workforce Development Manager, where she took a lead role in growing our Defence portfolio. As the Chief Operating Officer, Naomi is a key member of the Intract senior management team that provides the leadership, management and vision, necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organisation and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
Her career experience demonstrates an ability to lead and manage cross sectorial, jurisdictional and regional teams, budgets, and programs with an excellent history in the achievement of outcomes. She is a corporate executive with a background in education and training, strategy, consultation and community development, Naomi is passionate about enablement of Indigenous Australians to fulfil their potential in their community.
Through her extensive experience in workforce development and financial and contractual management, as well as strategic leadership, change management, marketing / branding and communications, Naomi is an asset to the Intract senior leadership team. One of her key strengths is an ability to bring key stakeholders together and a capacity to obtain support for change and innovation through direct and no-nonsense leadership.
Having committed her career to prioritising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander empowerment and equity, Naomi drives social impact at Intract, as core business.
