Our Commitment to Indigenous Australia

We understand that ongoing employment underpins economic equity and positive change for our people. We understand that a job for an individual has the ability to impact a whole family and community. We invest in the individuals that we employ, with comprehensive in-house programs that support education, training and upskilling, cultural safety in the workplace, flexible employment models and pastoral care including financial counselling and support.

We actively provide our employees with assistance to apply for home loans and enter the housing market, support their families and ensure their children are attending school, assist them to open savings accounts and help create budges, amongst other support activities.

This is the Intract Way.

Collaboration with McMahon Services

Leading construction services provider, McMahon Services, is the minority shareholder of Intract Australia. Together, the two companies work collaboratively to bring employment and upskilling opportunities to Indigenous people.

Intract either self-delivers projects using our own resources or, alternatively, delivers projects under a collaborative arrangement with McMahon Services who provide Project Managers, Supervisors and plant and equipment to support the delivery of works. The collaborative relationship provides Intract with increased capacity, resources and systems to deliver complex and large scale civil and building infrastructure.

Our in-house skilled and experienced personnel are supported by a national fleet of plant, equipment, workshops and warehouses which allows us to self-perform the vast majority of works without relying on machine hire.

McMahon Services and Intract invest heavily in new technologies and boast an $80 million network of company owned plant and equipment. Over 400 major plant items comprise of dozers, excavators, graders, rollers, loaders, dump trucks, batching plants, service trucks, water trucks, soil blending machines, prime movers, hook lift bin trucks, low loaders, semi tippers and cranes.
