Intract Australia were contracted by Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education (BIITE) to undertake various building works at the campus that included painting, carpeting, asbestos removal, wall demolition, structural steel erection, café renovation and entrance signage. With Intract supplying Indigenous labour, these packages of work have been a great success story for Indigenous employment outcomes. In late December, BIITE awarded Intract another contract to refurbish 18 Student Accommodation units in Batchelor. These works were completed with a leading team of Indigenous Employees, most of whom have been sourced through Karen Sheldon Training as job-ready trainees. With 85% of the trainees being engaged by Intract on full time basis we are looking forward to continued success.
