Defence Science and Technology (DST) is the Australian government’s lead agency responsible for applying science and technology to safeguard Australia and its national interests. They employ 2300 staff nationally, predominantly scientists, engineers, IT specialists and technicians. Their national headquarters is in Canberra with research facilities in Melbourne, Edinburgh, Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, Rockingham, Scottsdale, and Innisfail.

 

Intract Australia were engaged to undertake minor upgrade works to improve physical security and audio upgrades and across various buildings at Defence Science and Technology Group Edinburgh. Works were conducted across five buildings.

Workforce peaked at ten personnel who delivered 7,000 workhours without incurring a single safety or environmental incident. Two Indigenous personnel were employed on the project achieving a 14% Indigenous Participation rate.
