Intract’s Remote Housing Maintenance operation’s team at Maningrida are proud to be working in partnership with the Maningrida College in remote Arnhem Land to offer work experience for two students currently completing Year 10. These students are completing units from the Certificate I in Construction course as well as being offered the opportunity to practice the skills they are being taught in a real-life scenario.
As part of their on the job training, the students will be attending the Intract site office one day a week each where they will be taught basic handyman skills including repairing and installing door handles, repairing leaking taps, and measuring, cutting and boarding up windows.
In line with our commitment to the communities we work in, we are looking forward to seeing these young men complete their education and become future workers of Intract in their hometown of Maningrida.
We look forward to providing Ronnie and Dominic some practical on the job training and the right skills required to help them with further education and employment opportunities.
